We highly recommend Breville Juicers, now its up to you to decide which juicer is right for you! Questions on The Breville Juice Fountain Juicer (Compare Breville Juicer to the Jack Lalanne Juicer). Q: Is it possible to get a manual for my juicer? I hate to admit that it's been in my closet for about 5 years and I would like to start using it, but can't find the manual. A: You can view and print a PDF version of the owners manual at:. Q: Are they NSF/Commercial that the Health Dept requires for usage. A: The Breville Juicers do not have NSF certification and are not recommended for commercial use.

I'm shopping for a juicer for someone who has serious digestive issues making him unable to tolerate insoluble fiber. I have read that centrifugal juicers are great for everything but leafy greens, but that masticating juicers don't do well with soft things (bananas, very ripe tomatoes and kiwis, etc). He would like to eat both, so I'm not sure what to buy (I'm debating between Breville and Omega). Someone recommended balling up leafy greens works well in a centrifugal juicer; do you know if this is correct? I guess the most important question is which type does the best job of removing insoluble fiber overall.

Thanks, Julie. A: For the lowest amount of pulp remaining in your juice I would actually recommend one of the centrifugal style Omega juicers like the model OM1000 and use with the Omega Juicer Filters part number 307225. This juicer will juice almost all fruits and vegetables but will not be very efficient with leafy greens. You mentioned 'balling' the greens up prior to juicing. This will definitely improve your juice yield but will still not be as high as a masticating juicer. Unfortunately masticating juicers do leave a significantly higher percentage of pulp in your juice. Another option is to strain your juice after juicing and go with the masticating juicer.

Q: On the show 'Fat Sick and Nearly Dead' this is the juicer Joe used and promotes yet he juiced tons of leafy greens. Please explain how this is possible when your other responses say this is not good for leafy greens. A: The JE98XL Breville Juicer is an excellent juicer that will juice most fruits and vegetables with ease and are very powerful and user friendly but leafy greens are just not their strong suite. This juicer is a centrifugal style juicer and this style of juicer is not your most efficient choice for leafy greens. They will juice leafy greens but you will not get a very high juice yield when compared to the masticating style juicers.

You can increase your leafy green juice yield by 'balling' your greens up before juicing. Q: My son makes sorbet with frozen fruit in his juicer. I think it is a Champion.

Can I make sorbet in my Breville?. A: No, unfortunately this feature is only available on the auger style/masticating juicers. This juicer has a filter basket with blade and the frozen fruit would not pass through the filter basket.

The Champion Juicer works for this purpose because you simply use the 'blank' screen allowing everything to pass through together. Q: I read your response about grape seeds.what about pomegranate's seeds? Can I use the Breville JE98XL to juice pomegranates?. A: According to Breville you can not use this juicer for pomegranates. Q: I need the measurments of this juicer.

A: Measures approximately 13-1/5 by 16-1/2 by 18-1/5 inches. Q: Where is the Breville juicer manufactured?. A: These are made in China. Q: What is the difference between a centrifugal and masticating style juicers?. A: Centrifugal Juicers typically have an upright design, and pulls the juice through a mesh filter. Centrifugal juicers work well with soft and hard fruits but not usually as well with leafy greens.

Breville Manual Juicer

Masticating juicers have a horizontal design and juice is squeezed out of an auger which is usually better for leafy greens such as spinach and Kale. Masticating juicers tend to be a little more expensive and sometimes a little harder to clean. Q: What kind of warranty do you offer on your juicers?.

A: The JE98XL juicer comes with a one year manufacturer warranty. Q: We are very fond of our Breville Juice Fountain Plus JE98XL. I am harvesting our grapes that have SEEDs.

Can we use the JE98XL to process these grapes for juice? We have about 30 lbs. A: While it is possible and Breville states that it will not harm the juicer, they recommend using seedless grapes on low for the best juicing experience.

Below you will find 3 reasons why they make this recommendation: 1) The seeds if successfully broken up could taint the flavor of the juice, making it bitter. 2) The seeds could become lodged in the blades and may impact performance. 3) The seeds could be difficult to remove during cleaning if they become lodged in the blades. Q: I would love to have a juicer but why would I want one if it strips all the fiber out. To my knowledge we have to have fiber. A: If you wish to keep the fiber in tact but want the ability to turn whole, raw foods into a drinkable liquid you might look into a high power blender like the Vita Mix or Blendtec.

A juicer is an extractor that separates the juice from the pulp, while a high power blender leaves the pulp but emulsifies it into a smooth, drinkable liquid. However, reviews I have read indicates this juicer does not do well with leafy greens such as kale, etc, a primary part of the diet. Can you speak to this?. A: The Breville JE98XL is a centrifugal style juicer and this style of juicer as a general rule is not the best choice when leafy greens / wheatgrass are the primary ingredients being juiced. I would recommend a masticating style juicer like the Omega 8003, 8004, 8005, or 8006 if you want a juicer that is wonderful with fruits, vegetables, and leafy greens.

Q: is it BPA free?. A: Hello Beth, Thank you for your interest in the Breville Juicer - Breville Juice Fountain Plus - JE98XL. Absolutely, the Breville juicer jugs on all of the juicers are 'BPA-FREE'. Tamil karaoke songs free download video. I hope this helps, Everything Kitchens. I have owned my Breville juicer for almost a year now. During that time I have juiced several times a week and sometimes several times per day. I have to say I love it.

I juice both fruits and vegetables, and yes Kale. I usually hand wash the pieces, but will put everything in the dishwasher about once a week or so. (Not the base obviously). I have owned the champion juice, and feel the that the ease of use and cleanup is better with the breville. I clean the the juicer right away, as this makes for easiest cleaning, but when short for time, I have l left the machine on the counter to clean later that night or even the next day and have had no issues. Really this is one great machine (Posted on 3/14/12).

This is a powerful machine! The Breville Juicer chews through everything with no problems. Clean up is easy. Obviously the screen is a pain to clean but the included brush makes it easy enough.

Breville Manual Juicer Review

Kinda hard to separate pulp from juice without a screen. Don't get the complaints on that. It's just what it is. We are very pleased with this buy and also very pleased with buying it through Everything Kitchens.

Quick processing and shipment. Bonus book is teaching the wife and I a lot about juicing and I appreciate it being added! (Posted on 2/23/12). This is the third juicer I have owned. I can tell you that this juicer is fairly quiet, as far as juicers go.

I have juiced everything from beets to watermelon, apples and carrots to ginger root all with good results. I have used my juicer everyday since I bought it a month ago. Both of my kids have knowingly drank veggies they never would have eaten otherwise, from kale to celery and more. Even when the juice looks 'muddy' from mixing red and green fruits and veggies together, the kids still drink and enjoy. Clean up is easy as long as you do it right after juicing, which is what the company recommends. Beside feeling healthier and knowing that I am finally getting my daily allotment of veggies, I have lost about 15 pound by replacing one meal a day with a 24oz glass of juice. (Posted on 8/25/11).

I love this juicer! Easy to clean and easy to use. I owned a Golden Harvest Imperial juicer for many years. However, my old juicer was difficult to clean and had a narrow opening, so all of my fruits and vegetables had to be cut into small pieces in order to fit.

Manual For Breville Juicer

This kept me from juicing. What I love about the Breville Juicer is how large the opening is and how easy it is to clean. Virtually all pieces are dishwasher safe and easily rinse off in the sink as well. I like that the Breville Juicer pushes the pulp out the back of the juicer into a tub; all you have to do is toss it out into the garbage.

It is also an attractive piece (stainless steel matches my kitchen appliances). I was reluctant to buy it for a while because it is large and the price; but it is worth the price! What good is buying a cheaper juicer that you end up not using because it doesn't work well?

This was definitely worth getting. (Posted on 8/20/11).

The Breville is cheap enough to get most people into juicing but well-built enough to last quite a bit of punishment. It's not going to give you as much juice as the masticating juicers, but it's faster to get something juiced and has a quicker clean-up time. From the time it takes me to pull the produce out of my fridge to the time my juicer is clean, it takes about 20 minutes. A very worthy time investment for your health. One note: make sure to ball up leafy greens before juicing them in order to maximize their extraction. (Posted on 8/15/11). This is my first and I did my research before I bought this juicer.

I looked at all the models. All the prices. All over the internet. I couldn't be happier! We've had it for a week now and use it everyday.

It's powerful, puts out more juice than I thought it would, and my pulp is really quite dry. I couldn't squeeze more juice out of it if I tried. Clean up is clean up and if you expect that it's going to take seconds, you're wrong. But it's worth it. Best thing to do is have a tub of soapy water ready. Rinse it all.

Wash it quick. The blade basket NEEDS to be scrubbed with the brush that comes with it right away. You don't want that drying on!

I love this machine and have been recommending it to everyone. (Posted on 8/3/11). I'm a first time juicer. I bought this Breville Juice Fountain model because of the price and the claims that it was easy to clean. Perhaps folks meant that this Breville Juicer was easy to clean versus other juicer models, because I don't find it easy to clean.

Between breaking down all of the parts, trying to rinse the grater without getting cut, and then dealing with all of the pulp, I rarely use it. On the plus side, I have found some yummy things to do with the pulp. For example, I've made some tasty vegetable stock and stews with it. Otherwise the pulp is great for composting.

(Posted on 5/8/11). Highly recommend this Breville JE98XL juicer. Juice tastes just like real fruit and the whole family loves it.

This Breville juicer takes 5 minutes to clean, so that's a plus too. When it comes to cleaning, I recommend that you use a plastic bag for the container that takes pulp which then makes for one less part to wash. Then you are left with 4 pieces to wash. Use the brush to brush out the blade basket. There is really nothing bad I can say about the Breville Juice Fountain juicer. I have had it for roughly 6 months and we are in love with it.

(Posted on 5/7/11). I bought my Breville Juicer a year ago, and I absolutely love it! I have never had a juicer before though, so I have nothing to compare. However, this Breville Juice Fountain JE98XL juicer has been good to me. I have gone from using it 3 or 4 times a day, to letting it sit for a week at a time. I can fit smaller and medium apples in the Breville Juicer's wide chute, whole.

I juice pineapple without cutting the outer layer/skin off. I juice watermelon with the rind. I juice herbs and spinach. A tip: Put something heavy in before your smaller greens and herbs, then put something heavy on top of them. You'll get more juice out of them that way. This Breville Juicer is decent for cleaning, but I wonder if it were shaped just a little differently if there would be a way to get to the cracks better, as well as the little mouth where the juice pours into the pitcher. I can't complain much, though, since this is the only juicer I have ever had.

I wanted the 1000 Watt Breville Juicer model, but I wasn't sure how much I would be using my juicer and I wanted to learn to use it first. Thank you for selling it to me! And a bonus was the $0 shipping and tax when I bought mine! (Posted on 5/6/11).
