Yea, I've had Logic Studio 8 for a couple of years, but only recently committed myself to learning and using it. Up until now, my two sons have been the primary users of it. So, I just got a new iMac, and got Logic 8 loaded on the new iMac.EXCEPT for the install disc, which my son can't find. I'm hoping that he's got it in his apartment in Philly (he goes to Temple U). Hopefully, he'll find the disc when get gets back to school. In the meantime, I've been able to record on my system, but don't have any of the presets. My son, and my friend who are Logic users felt that the install that we did, using a torrent, must have been faulty, and thought that having the actual install disc should do the trick.

You will have to purchase Logic Studio 9 full version for $499 like the rest of us. I'm guessing you misunderstood me, or perhaps I didn't explain it well.

My son misplaced the install disc. I've already ponied up my cash. I'm simply trying to find a way to do a proper install in the absence of the misplaced install disc.
